In the 8thth minute of the game Demesio Quiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manzanilla FC's Zoil Garnica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Corcado FC were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Manzanilla FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tito Imaz took the corner. The corner led Corcado FC's Tito Imaz to fire away a dangerous shot which Zoil Garnica despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Corcado FC's Demesio Quiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Itzaina Astete sped through Corcado FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Desiderio Arellano.
