With an all-out effort, Yakakent's Alberto Mikelar threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abdulbaki Hazer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alberto Mikelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turabi Denizcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvarado's Alberto Mikelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turabi Denizcan in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Alvarado's Orlando Hodei got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvarado's goalkeeper Alberto Mikelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Yakakent's zone, Silvio Sidro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fırat Ahid came out of the goal and Silvio Sidro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Aras Mutlugün managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yakakent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aras Mutlugün was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes, Eugenio Cortez made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Yakakent's Fırat Ahid tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alberto Mikelar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdulbaki Hazer in the 53rd minute of the match. Eugenio Cortezs short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Fırat Ahid to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Alvarado fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Alvarado's Eugenio Cortez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Alberto Mikelar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yakakent. In the 95thth minute of the game Eugenio Cortez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yakakent's Fırat Ahid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvio Sidro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Fırat Ahid made a huge save.
