In the 27th match minute, atletic Luprechauns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Pe to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Roque Estavan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jānis Lielais was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Roger Milla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Artūrs Sagalats kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severiano Bartoli. Severiano Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artūrs Sagalats in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Pe in the 46th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SK Annenieki booed when atletic Luprechauns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jāzeps Pics in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severiano Bartoli saved atletic Luprechauns from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinholds Jaunzems in the 64th minute of play forced atletic Luprechauns's goalkeeper Severiano Bartoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the atletic Luprechauns defense, Reinholds Jaunzems kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severiano Bartoli. The atletic Luprechauns fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severiano Bartoli should have stopped the shot. Severiano Bartoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jāzeps Pics, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Severiano Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artūrs Sagalats in the 73rd minute of play. SK Annenieki's Ingus Rencis was substituted for Drosmis Kalnaiza. SK Annenieki's Vilis Lettlands was substituted for Indris Tomass. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Artūrs Sagalats put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Severiano Bartoli. There was no doubt that SK Annenieki were the better team. SK Annenieki's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
