Zé Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artūrs Sagalats in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Sabóia saved Saiko FC from getting behind. In the 27th minute Eliseu Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jānis Lielais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Saiko FC's Jānis Lielais threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Walmir Garcia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 33rd match minute, Saiko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reinholds Jaunzems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artūrs Sagalats's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Jāzeps Pics came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Sabóia could save by the left post. A collision led to Saiko FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Décio Dionísio hit a great ball. Indris Tomass was extremely unlucky when he, in the 60th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Artūrs Sagalats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Sabóia having to interfere. Jānis Lielais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Reinholds Jaunzems came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SK Annenieki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinholds Jaunzems couldn't finish the play. Zé Sabóia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vilis Lettlands showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 92 minute of play.
