The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Szolnoki MÁV's goal looked a bit too open when Bartlomiej Olejarz came free, but Mátyás Lisztes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match, Janusz Wielowiejski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mátyás Lisztes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Szolnoki MÁV's György Kaszás got a free kick in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Bartlomiej Olejarz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mátyás Lisztes to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Dubiel in the 17th minute of play forced Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Mátyás Lisztes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartlomiej Olejarz might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mátyás Lisztes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartlomiej Olejarz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 minutes, Emesto Muñagorri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szolnoki MÁV and the F. C. Clonmels Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as F. C. Clonmels Devils's Janusz Wielowiejski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mátyás Lisztes. That made the score 3-0 after 30 minutes of play. Mátyás Lisztes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartlomiej Olejarz in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Lajos Keresztesi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szolnoki MÁV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lajos Keresztesi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrea Sabatini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emesto Muñagorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mátyás Lisztes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartlomiej Olejarz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With his leg Mátyás Lisztes managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when F. C. Clonmels Devils's Janusz Wielowiejski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szolnoki MÁV's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Damian Dubiel was slow to take the kick. During this time F. C. Clonmels Devils's players had a chance to rest. F. C. Clonmels Devils's Damian Dubiel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mátyás Lisztes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roland Varga was the one to do the kick off. Andrea Sabatini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Varga in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes F. C. Clonmels Devils's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Csanád Újvári who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Szolnoki MÁV's corner Csanád Újvári fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andrea Sabatini quite easily take care of the ball. Janusz Wielowiejski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lajos Keresztesi struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Andrea Sabatini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szolnoki MÁV. Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janusz Wielowiejski in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Janusz Wielowiejski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F. C. Clonmels Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Szolnoki MÁV's Roland Varga got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Szolnoki MÁV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F. C. Clonmels Devils:s goal. 69 minutes into the match, Damian Dubiel notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes. Mátyás Lisztes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Szolnoki MÁV's Lajos Keresztesi got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Janusz Wielowiejski managed to get in a good position for a shot. F. C. Clonmels Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Janusz Wielowiejski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mátyás Lisztes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bartlomiej Olejarz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Janusz Wielowiejski notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes. Mátyás Lisztes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the game, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Bartlomiej Olejarz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mátyás Lisztes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. F. C. Clonmels Devils's Andrea Sabatini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save F. C. Clonmels Devils from getting a goal against them. After having played for 95 minutes, Bartlomiej Olejarz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. Clonmels Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartlomiej Olejarz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Szolnoki MÁV's goal looked a bit too open when Janusz Wielowiejski came free, but Mátyás Lisztes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F. C. Clonmels Devils were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Szolnoki MÁV for a fine match.
