After 40 minutes Chuffing Hell United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damian Dubiel who took care of the corner kick. The corner led F. C. Clonmels Devils's Damian Dubiel to fire away a dangerous shot which Tristram Fleetwood despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
