A sloppy throw-in by Clemencin Duran in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Gökçe Yalazalp. After 16 minutes of play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Loco Malo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 24th minute of play forced Lagrima en Jarrita's goalkeeper Loco Malo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicasio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Figueroa in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Lagrima en Jarrita's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Blomkvist came free, but Loco Malo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Clemencin Duran threw the ball into play from the sideline. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Joel Enekoitz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Peter Blomkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute Cleto Firmin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ma Mo Feng in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Figueroa in the 42nd minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Clemencin Duran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Loco Malo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad got control of the ball when Cleto Firmin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, Cleto Firmin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. But to his dismay, Leonello Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonello Messias in the 95th minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Nicasio Abad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olgierd Karanowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Lagrima en Jarrita's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Lagrima en Jarrita's Kong Hao Xi getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.
