But to his dismay, Jacinto Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Ciccio Tacconi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Torres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Houwing in the 16th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 盛世 高文竞 in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 盛世 高文竞 in the 25th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of NFC Eagles 22 booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Visar De Hond didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, NFC Eagles 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Schouten to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Torres was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Haithabu FC got a freekick which was hit by Önder Kaçan. 盛世 高文竞's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Söderström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. If Jacinto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sylwester Sobania made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jacinto Torres immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Haithabu FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kurt Slaghmeulders hit a great ball. Haithabu FC's Adrian Astigar was substituted for Marc Van Beets.
