The audience thought a goal was coming when Steven Homan got free with Fabian Söderström in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Virgil Lindelöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Söderström having to interfere. SV Balverliefd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felix van As in the 15th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Balverliefd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lisandro Heerckes fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Balverliefd's protests and gave Lisandro Heerckes a yellow card for diving instead. If Jacinto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yorrick Zoethout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes SV Balverliefd got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Heerckes. After 31 played minutes SV Balverliefd got a freekick which was hit by Melker Gudmundsson. 32 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Van Beets came free, but Yorrick Zoethout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Haithabu FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Torres. Steven Homan struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Fabian Söderström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Balverliefd.

The wind increased when Jacinto Torres made the kick off in the second half. SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Torres in the 55th minute of play. If Jacinto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute, Steven Homan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jacinto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Söderström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Haithabu FC's Adrian Astigar was substituted for Marc Van Beets. Yorrick Zoethout made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jacinto Torres sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute of the match Haithabu FC got a corner. SV Balverliefd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Simon Blomquist ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kurt Slaghmeulders got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yorrick Zoethout quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 81st minute Haithabu FC were awarded a corner. Simon Blomquist went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Gervasio Albonico got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Homan in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Adrian Astigar got a free kick in the 86th minute. Fabian Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Homan in the 88th minute of the match. SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauri Icardi in the 91st minute of play. If Mauri Icardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SV Balverliefd's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
