King Batistuta did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Waut Van Der Meeren 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Jacksonville 67's Oscar Cruz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Burak Öz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when Burak Öz came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Hanni having to interfere. Waut Van Der Meeren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from King Batistuta in the 41st minute of the match. Roman Procházka's late challenge caught a Jacksonville 67's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Procházka helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Anversa Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Procházka to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Waut Van Der Meeren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rogelio Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winarto Songgonau in the 44th minute of play. Nestor Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when King Batistuta came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Cruz got free with Rogelio Hanni in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that King Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waut Van Der Meeren was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Nicu Vornicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogelio Hanni having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers King Batistuta in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waut Van Der Meeren saved Anversa Club from getting behind. Burak Öz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Jacksonville 67 getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Pieter Harmens hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Anversa Club defense, King Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waut Van Der Meeren. The Anversa Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waut Van Der Meeren should have stopped the shot. In the 80th minute Burak Öz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burak Öz in the 81st minute of play forced Anversa Club's goalkeeper Waut Van Der Meeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waut Van Der Meeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Batistuta in the 83rd minute of play. Jacksonville 67's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
