An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Van Linthoudt in the 33rd minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Jacinto Torres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Albertus Schepmans. Jacinto Torres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Arnauld Gramet charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnauld Gramet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albertus Schepmans was a little too slow when Kurt Slaghmeulders got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Torres made a kick off. If Jacinto Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Mauri Icardi scored 5-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albertus Schepmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
