Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burak Öz in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes, Freek Wander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacksonville 67 and the Haithabu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Freek Wander hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Rogelio Hanni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Jacksonville 67's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Torres came free, but Rogelio Hanni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström got control of the ball when Burak Öz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacinto Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Jacksonville 67 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Freek Wander hit a great ball. Fabian Söderström made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when King Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute Oscar Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogelio Hanni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Freek Wander in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haithabu FC's Conrad Vrolijcx. Jacinto Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Cruz in the 35th minute of play. Jacinto Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogelio Hanni having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Cruz in the 47th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Torres made a kick off. Haithabu FC's Jacinto Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute of the game Freek Wander made a throw-in which Pieter Harmens played forward. In the 59th minute Jacinto Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Hanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Cruz in the 62nd minute of play. A hard shot 65 in the game by Jacinto Torres from a close distance when the talented Rogelio Hanni managed to make a qualified save. Jacksonville 67's players were relieved. Haithabu FC's attack was well implemented in the 65th minute, but when Jacinto Torres was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Batistuta in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Jacksonville 67's Joost Opdam seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joost Opdam the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Jacksonville 67 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joost Opdam had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Haithabu FC's Adrian Astigar was substituted for Marc Van Beets. In the 69th minute, one of Jacksonville 67:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jacksonville 67. The goalkeeper, Rogelio Hanni, was totally fooled by Haithabu FC's Jacinto Torres, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 77 minutes into the match, Jacinto Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogelio Hanni. Jacksonville 67's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Haithabu FC's Mauri Icardi was substituted for Jacinto Torres. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauri Icardi got free with Rogelio Hanni in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabian Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burak Öz in the 89th minute of the match. Mauri Icardi struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rogelio Hanni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haithabu FC. Jacksonville 67's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haithabu FC the free kick. A collision led to Jacksonville 67 getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Burak Öz hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Haithabu FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
