Nicu Vornicu scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciccio Tacconi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 盛世 高文竞 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Waut Van Der Meeren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciccio Tacconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Waut Van Der Meeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 盛世 高文竞, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Anversa Club from getting a goal against them. Ciccio Tacconi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 41st minute of play. Waut Van Der Meeren made an important save on a dangerous shot by 盛世 高文竞 in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicu Vornicu made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 盛世 高文竞 in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. A well-hit corner resulted in Winarto Songgonau heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 68 played minutes Anversa Club got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Ivarsson. Ted Jansen struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Waut Van Der Meeren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NFC Eagles 22. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 盛世 高文竞 in the 71st minute of play. Raymond Schouten hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Reiner Fallas came free, but Ciccio Tacconi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Jaap Zuidam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1.
