Sílvio Luiz Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Almási, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Ian Montanaro struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Mátyás Lisztes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swatar United FC. Mátyás Lisztes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Abela's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Swatar United FC's Angelo Abela in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Szolnoki MÁV's goalie prevented a goal. A nice corner shot did that Neil Testaferrata Olivier got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mátyás Lisztes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 12th minute, Emesto Muñagorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Montanaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Mátyás Lisztes made a huge save. In the 15th minute Emesto Muñagorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emesto Muñagorri's late challenge caught a Swatar United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emesto Muñagorri helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Szolnoki MÁV got a freekick which was hit by Emesto Muñagorri. Kenneth Bajada kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Emesto Muñagorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes Swatar United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Csanád Újvári who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Szolnoki MÁV's corner Csanád Újvári fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sílvio Luiz Alcântara quite easily take care of the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Swatar United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Montanaro to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Szolnoki MÁV getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bálint Simon hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Kurt Francalanza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mátyás Lisztes skillfully saved the ball. Angelo Abela's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Mátyás Lisztes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Szolnoki MÁV's Patrik Almási. But to his dismay, Patrik Almási quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roland Varga during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Szolnoki MÁV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Varga to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Szolnoki MÁV's Lajos Keresztesi got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Ian Montanaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Swatar United FC's Neil Micallef got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Swatar United FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Szolnoki MÁV were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Abela was the one to do the kick off. Swatar United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Francalanza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Szolnoki MÁV walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
