In the 7th minute Leonel Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacá do Vale took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedé Dante. Saiko FC's Giuseppe de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Rossi in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Saiko FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Rossi came free, but Giuseppe de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Myr scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giuseppe de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giuseppe de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Queiroz in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Cacá do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cacá do Vale was the one to do the kick off. The attack was good, but when Cacá do Vale in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rune Myr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe de Carvalho having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Rune Myr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aurora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Myr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Myr in the 65th minute of the match. Giuseppe de Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Andrézinho Rossi sent off a good shot on target. Saiko FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Horácio Queiroz scored to the left of an out of position Giuseppe de Carvalho, making the score, 1-4. With a little luck, Saiko FC's Giuseppe de Carvalho got control of the ball when Andrézinho Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rune Myr in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe de Carvalho saved Saiko FC from getting behind. Saiko FC's Giuseppe de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Saiko FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Aurora FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Rune Myr hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Cacá do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saiko FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacá do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aurora FC's goalkeeper Dedé Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Aurora FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saiko FC throughout the match.
