Matt Triplett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stéphane Eynard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, Chaponnay FC's Renaud Houzet made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matt Triplett was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Manchester United's Carver Smalley seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carver Smalley the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Manchester United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carver Smalley had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Charly Boisson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matt Triplett. Manchester United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sabastian Aroege kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The Chaponnay FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Chaponnay FC's Evan Le Moullec looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tanguy Caudrelier kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Moïse Girerd made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jesse Ceney sent off a good shot on target. Matt Triplett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evan Le Moullec in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Chaponnay FC's Evan Le Moullec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matt Triplett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Kevan Brossier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesse Ceney to make the kick off. Browne Potter charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Browne Potter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chaponnay FC booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. If Evan Le Moullec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charly Boisson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Matt Triplett came out and tried to block the shot, but Charly Boisson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 67th minute. Sylvain Deman kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Chaponnay FC made a substitution. Eduart Rrustemi replaced Tanguy Caudrelier. A collision led to Chaponnay FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sylvain Deman hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes, Manchester United's Eliot Sayner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moïse Girerd came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester United reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evan Le Moullec got free with Matt Triplett in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evan Le Moullec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moïse Girerd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesse Ceney, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute of the match, Kevan Brossier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matt Triplett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Chaponnay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduart Rrustemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chaponnay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevan Brossier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Manchester United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chaponnay FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
