In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind demir idmanyurdu's goalkeeper Selmo Illescas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fetiyerd's Zak Warrender got a free kick in the 11th minute. Montes Quevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hami Eyüp, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Montes Quevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulvi Nizami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Nistor Conta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The demir idmanyurdu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 21st minute Ulvi Nizami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montes Quevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Aurelio Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fetiyerd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Rivas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hami Eyüp in the 27th minute of play. Selmo Illescas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Rua in the 29th minute of play. Selmo Illescas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Rivas in the 30th minute of the match. Montes Quevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Conta in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Nistor Conta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fetiyerd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emil Bartochowski was slow to take the kick. During this time demir idmanyurdu's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emil Bartochowski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fetiyerd's Montes Quevedo did a great save. Nistor Conta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montes Quevedo having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Aurelio Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fetiyerd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Rivas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Rivas in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Selmo Illescas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Severiano Rua came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fetiyerd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Rua couldn't finish the play. The Fetiyerd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. demir idmanyurdu were winning 0-2.

Selmo Illescas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Rua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Rivas in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selmo Illescas saved demir idmanyurdu from getting behind. Selmo Illescas came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Fetiyerd's Aurelio Rivas. But to his dismay, Aurelio Rivas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, Fetiyerd's goal looked a bit too open when Ulvi Nizami came free, but Montes Quevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selmo Illescas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Rua in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Rua in the 65th minute of play forced demir idmanyurdu's goalkeeper Selmo Illescas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Fetiyerd's goalkeeper Montes Quevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hami Eyüp. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Montes Quevedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 72 minutes into the match, demir idmanyurdu's Hami Eyüp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Montes Quevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Rivas in the 74th minute of play forced demir idmanyurdu's goalkeeper Selmo Illescas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Ceyhan Kuluk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. demir idmanyurdu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fetiyerd the free kick. The supporters of Fetiyerd booed when demir idmanyurdu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceyhan Kuluk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes demir idmanyurdu got a freekick which was hit by Ceyhan Kuluk. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Rivas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Selmo Illescas was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 81st minute, demir idmanyurdu's Ulvi Nizami ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Montes Quevedo. Montes Quevedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After 88 minutes of play, Fetiyerd's Severiano Rua made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Selmo Illescas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The demir idmanyurdu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing demir idmanyurdu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
