In the 5th minute Zamalek FC were awarded a corner. Fred Kirkpatrick went to the cornerflag to take it. Zamalek FC's Davis Duff was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ermengol Baena in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tytus Banaszak hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Bosch in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Leonardo Lane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leonardo Lane hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Bosch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franco Bosch in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhys Dimmock saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. Reese Otto scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ermengol Baena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Bosch in the 40th minute of the match. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Bosch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rhys Dimmock came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Franco Bosch. But to his dismay, Franco Bosch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franco Bosch was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Leonardo Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermengol Baena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zamalek FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fred Kirkpatrick in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Mugurel Balaeț got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ermengol Baena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reese Otto in the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Bob Morley got a free kick in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Zamalek FC's Reese Otto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermengol Baena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Zamalek FC made a substitution. Leon Posadzki replaced Leonardo Lane. In the 76th minute, Franco Bosch made a precise shot to the right of Rhys Dimmock. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. A sloppy throw-in by Zack Grier in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Dawid Wietrzychowski. In the 86thth minute of the game Franco Bosch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute of the match ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Solustiano Blea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Solustiano Blea made a great header on ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s corner, it was just that Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davis Duff during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Davis Duff hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rhys Dimmock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Solustiano Blea in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Posadzki in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermengol Baena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zamalek FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
