De-la-Cruz de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mesut Özil in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, de belletrekkers's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but De-la-Cruz de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, de belletrekkers's Paulus Van Hove nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. August Hoffmanns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Paulus Van Hove came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by de belletrekkers's Paulus Van Hove. But to his dismay, Paulus Van Hove quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulus Van Hove in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Maximilian Henning left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 21stth minute of the game Paulus Van Hove who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. de belletrekkers's De-la-Cruz de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Haupt in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Paulus Van Hove came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but De-la-Cruz de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marten Merckx hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. de belletrekkers's De-la-Cruz de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximilian Henning in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match, Rein Goethals got a very nice opportunity to score, but August Hoffmanns was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With an all-out effort, de belletrekkers's August Hoffmanns threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulus Van Hove, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulus Van Hove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulus Van Hove in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kryspin Banach kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 46th minute of play. Paulus Van Hove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Anestis Kotsopoulos got free with De-la-Cruz de Alcântara in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulus Van Hove in the 62nd minute of play forced Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, de belletrekkers's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but De-la-Cruz de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Anestis Kotsopoulos notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of de belletrekkers's De-la-Cruz de Alcântara. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 played minutes de belletrekkers got a freekick which was hit by Przemyslaw Gerlach. De-la-Cruz de Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximilian Henning in the 80th minute. Paulus Van Hove might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hoffmanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulus Van Hove ran back to his position shaking his head. The score was 2-3 after a penalty in the 84th minute, where Rot-Weiss-Essen:s Maximilian Henning tricked de belletrekkers:s De-la-Cruz de Alcântara with a difficult ball by the left post. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
