The corner led Rayo Bengala's Nemesio Dobale to fire away a dangerous shot which Miks Lecis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Artur Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Sevilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Macabeo Sampil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Nerio Etxeberria could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Miks Lecis however easily saved by the left post. Miks Lecis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Policarpio Lama, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Nerio Etxeberria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Miks Lecis made a huge save. With a little luck, Cometuétano's Miks Lecis got control of the ball when Policarpio Lama tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Rayo Bengala booed when Cometuétano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alcadio Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cometuétano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Macabeo Sampil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Macabeo Sampil was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match Rayo Bengala got a corner. Cometuétano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miks Lecis was left in no man's land by his defense there!
