Juan Carlos Suciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ascencio Quintas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ascencio Quintas scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Carlos Suciu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 10 in the game by Mauricio Astudillo from a close distance when the talented Ray De Lauw managed to make a qualified save. Vetusta's players were relieved. Juan Carlos Suciu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ascencio Quintas's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Salud y República's goal looked a bit too open when Jose-Manuel Jauregui came free, but Juan Carlos Suciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Salud y República were awarded a corner. Roben Reyes went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Roben Reyes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ray De Lauw quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25thth minute of the game Ascencio Quintas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salud y República's Juan Carlos Suciu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Vetusta's Ascencio Quintas in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salud y República's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Salud y República defense, Jose-Manuel Jauregui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Carlos Suciu. The Salud y República fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Carlos Suciu should have stopped the shot. After 32nd play minutes Ascencio Quintas shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Juan Carlos Suciu and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 36th minute, Ascencio Quintas made a precise shot to the right of Juan Carlos Suciu. Salud y República's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After 39 minutes of play, Vetusta's Ascencio Quintas made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Carlos Suciu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Hanot Perdices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdika Philip was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Ascencio Quintas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Carlos Suciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. In the 60th minute Berto Calatayud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray De Lauw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray De Lauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reyes No, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vetusta's Ray De Lauw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reyes No in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ascencio Quintas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Carlos Suciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ascencio Quintas in the 72nd minute of the match. Vetusta made a substitution. Marco Palomar replaced Ascencio Quintas. Ray De Lauw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdika Philip, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Palomar in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Carlos Suciu saved Salud y República from getting behind. Nisio Riba charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nisio Riba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vetusta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
