With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miks Lecis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ray De Lauw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zigor Barroso in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ascencio Quintas in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miks Lecis saved Cometuétano from getting behind. After 18 minutes Cometuétano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hanot Perdices who took care of the corner kick. Hanot Perdices made a great header on Vetusta's corner, it was just that Cometuétano's Miks Lecis managed to reach the ball for a save. Ascencio Quintas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Miks Lecis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolás Rua hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Alcadio Abajas made in the 31st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Leroy Vera however managed to control. Zigor Barroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ray De Lauw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argenis Coira in the 41st minute of the match. Zigor Barroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ray De Lauw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Zigor Barroso made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Vetusta's Ray De Lauw got control of the ball when Antoni Paris tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose-Manuel Jauregui in the 55th minute of play forced Cometuétano's goalkeeper Miks Lecis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Ascencio Quintas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vetusta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Cometuétano booed when Vetusta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose-Manuel Jauregui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cometuétano's Kepa Portillo was substituted for Alejandro Sevilla. In the 67th match minute, Vetusta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose-Manuel Jauregui to maneuver through the defense. Ray De Lauw made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zigor Barroso in the 68th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Cometuétano's goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Quintas came free, but Miks Lecis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ascencio Quintas in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miks Lecis saved Cometuétano from getting behind. Vetusta made a substitution. Normando Veloso replaced Jose-Manuel Jauregui. Nicolás Rua kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vetusta's Nicolás Rua got a free kick in the 83rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cometuétano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vetusta.
