The audience was convinced that Alvaro Pendones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severiano Bartoli was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Eloy Pereyra hit a great ball. Mora Maldonado came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Severiano Bartoli could save by the left post. Aldo Pe charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Pe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, atletic Luprechauns's Aldo Pe got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Severiano Bartoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mora Maldonado in the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A wasted opportunity for atletic Luprechauns. The supporters of atletic Luprechauns booed when Nutridal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mora Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over atletic Luprechauns could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nutridal FC throughout the match.
