Tuan Zimmerman started the match with the kick off. Rusty Deering showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaughn Willingham, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Vaughn Willingham hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Kentucky Mustangs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Whitney Pelletier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vaughn Willingham scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rusty Deering, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kentucky Mustangs's Silas McNair got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Kentucky Mustangs's Dane Ball got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, ForestFire's Tuan Zimmerman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tyrone McCracken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tyrone McCracken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuan Zimmerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Tuan Zimmerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuan Zimmerman in the 47th minute of play forced Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper Tyrone McCracken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Tyrone McCracken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Hawthorne in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kentucky Mustangs's Wyatt Giles got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 played minutes ForestFire got a freekick which was hit by Kraig Gates. 67 minutes into the game, Dane Ball was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kentucky Mustangs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ForestFire the free kick. After having played for 74 minutes, Max Hawthorne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ForestFire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Hawthorne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Whitney Pelletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tyrone McCracken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Tuan Zimmerman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ForestFire fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After having played for 89 minutes, Tuan Zimmerman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ForestFire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuan Zimmerman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Correa hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Cary Griggs struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Tyrone McCracken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ForestFire. 93 minutes into the game, Sergio Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kentucky Mustangs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ForestFire the free kick. A collision led to Kentucky Mustangs getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Sergio Correa hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ForestFire fully deserved thier win.
