The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Agnes got free with Jospeh McNally in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Beard in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanford Peters saved Kentucky Mustangs from getting behind. In the 36th minute of the match Brooklyn SC got a corner. Kentucky Mustangs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonas Cole ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Walter Spivey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stanford Peters quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dwight Schrute scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanford Peters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barry Curry made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tony Freitas immediately put the ball in play. In the 47thth minute of the game Gerardo Beard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Beard made a kick off. Stanford Peters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Beard in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Cole in the 53rd minute of play forced Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper Stanford Peters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Walter Spivey could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Stanford Peters however easily saved by the left post. Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Kentucky Mustangs from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Stanford Peters successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kentucky Mustangs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Cole was slow to take the kick. During this time Brooklyn SC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jonas Cole got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stanford Peters quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute, Kentucky Mustangs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gerardo Beard fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Brooklyn SC made a substitution. Serginho Ramos replaced Gerardo Beard. When Brooklyn SC's Elliot Whitley in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Kentucky Mustangs supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brooklyn SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Brooklyn SC.
