Ben Gilliam was slow to take the kick. During this time ForestFire's players had a chance to rest. In the 25th minute Tracy Shah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbur Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pascal Combs fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Pascal Combs a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Combs. Wilbur Hyde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Gilliam, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Shaki Conn successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joaquim Vilar made a great header on El Canalla de Chicago's corner, it was just that ForestFire's Shaki Conn managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match was over ForestFire could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Canalla de Chicago throughout the match.
