Ladislao Gines might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Daunte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Daunte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Creekers's zone, Gordie Mosquera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Crocker came out of the goal and Gordie Mosquera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Daunte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leevi Kampman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41stth minute of the game Ladislao Gines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Osvaldo Daunte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Gines stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
