Jospeh McNally tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When New England Minas's Tony Pacheco in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brooklyn SC's goalie prevented a goal. 8 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Pacheco came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Felix Augustin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute of the match New England Minas got a corner. Brooklyn SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glen Conklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Oscar Nordmark got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jospeh McNally quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Nordmark in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jospeh McNally prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Oscar Nordmark put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jospeh McNally. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Nordmark in the 29th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Cole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremy Nicholas having to interfere. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Conklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas got control of the ball when Felix Augustin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brooklyn SC's Felix Augustin. But to his dismay, Felix Augustin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 47 minutes of play, New England Minas's Tony Pacheco made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jospeh McNally was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Augustin to strike the kick off in the second half. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Silva in the 53rd minute of the match. Jospeh McNally stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Silva's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stacy McDonough, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Glen Conklin came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally got control of the ball when Edgardo Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Beard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. New England Minas made a substitution. Tio Lio replaced Edgardo Silva. Brooklyn SC's Walter Spivey was substituted for Gerardo Beard. George Potra hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Glen Conklin. Tio Lio had several of the Brooklyn SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Jospeh McNally as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New England Minas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
