Chard United's Santos Santio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Chard United from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Virgilio Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanford Peters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lamar Arthur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jack Agnes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Santos Santio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 46th minute, Jose Cunningham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Chard United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jack Agnes made a kick off. Tony Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Martin Craven recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stanford Peters. Martin Craven showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Virgilio Kennedy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Chard United's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Agnes came free, but Santos Santio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chard United's goalkeeper Santos Santio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santos Santio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Agnes in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chard United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sophan Sudiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Kentucky Mustangs's players had a chance to rest. Virgilio Kennedy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Stanford Peters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jack Agnes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stanford Peters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Kennedy in the 90th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Virgilio Kennedy took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Stanford Peters to make any attempt to save it.
