Marshall Medina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremy Nicholas having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Silva in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Daunte saved EL LOBO DE MIAMI from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Silva came free, but Osvaldo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goalkeeper Osvaldo Daunte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tony Pacheco. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by New England Minas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bart Timmons was slow to take the kick. During this time EL LOBO DE MIAMI's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on EL LOBO DE MIAMI's corner Bart Timmons fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeremy Nicholas quite easily take care of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Medina came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 38th minute of play. Chad Tuttle kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Willy Webster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Vicente Madruga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vicente Madruga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of EL LOBO DE MIAMI protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vicente Madruga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of EL LOBO DE MIAMI:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New England Minas:s goal. The excitement rose when New England Minas's Tony Pacheco after 50 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Osvaldo Daunte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Osvaldo Daunte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 86th minute of the match. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because New England Minas had won, even though EL LOBO DE MIAMI had held more of the ball.
