Jon Yost hit a great ball. M. Ramdhan Rombot struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Jermaine Richmond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kentucky Mustangs. If Bombai Bombis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Khachatryan's Albert Paulíny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanford Peters made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Khachatryan's Merlin Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stanford Peters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sung McKinley in the 33rd minute of play. Khachatryan's Jermaine Richmond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Khachatryan from getting a goal against them. When Khachatryan's Merlin Castro in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kentucky Mustangs's goalie prevented a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Merlin Castro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters. Stanford Peters was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tigran Kirakosyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Kentucky Mustangs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Khachatryan were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jack Agnes made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Petros Oganesyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute of the match Ervin Huber shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stanford Peters showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Khachatryan's Sung McKinley in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Khachatryan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Gao Lang Feng came free, but Jermaine Richmond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kentucky Mustangs's Stanford Peters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sung McKinley in the 86th minute of play. Stanford Peters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sung McKinley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Kentucky Mustangs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Curry to maneuver through the defense. Khachatryan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
