The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 郝鹏奕 helped the player get up and apologised. 郝鹏奕 kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, 蒋翀岚 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 曾升榕 took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 郭昂银. 郭昂银 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, 康扬然 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, 程博钢 sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Red Bull Salzburg's 潘源西 didn't even have to move. In the 19th minute of the match, 张杰宽 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but 潘源西 saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 22 minutes of play, Malmo FF's 蒋翀岚 made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 潘源西 was left in no man's land by his defense there! 郭昂银 came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Bull Salzburg's 傅磊风. But to his dismay, 傅磊风 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 29 minutes of play, Malmo FF's 程博钢 made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 潘源西 was left in no man's land by his defense there! When 曾升榕 fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Bull Salzburg's protests and gave 曾升榕 a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Red Bull Salzburg got a freekick which was hit by 曾升榕. 潘源西 was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and 程博钢 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 程博钢 really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 陈磊杰 in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 郭昂银 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Red Bull Salzburg's 潘源西 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Salzburg from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, 程博钢 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmo FF's supporters rose to their feet, but 程博钢 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 潘源西 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when 曾升榕 made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, 杜珂博 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match, 陈磊杰 got a very nice opportunity to score, but 郭昂银 was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If 陈磊杰 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Red Bull Salzburg got a freekick which was hit by 傅磊风. 62 minutes into the game, 顾宽晨 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmo FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Bull Salzburg the free kick. The supporters of Red Bull Salzburg booed when Malmo FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. 顾宽晨 didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 minutes, 孟鹰伟 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malmo FF and the Red Bull Salzburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, 孟鹰伟 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 潘源西 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 顾宽晨, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Red Bull Salzburg's 潘源西 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 张杰宽 in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute 曾升榕 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郭昂银 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 played minutes Malmo FF got a freekick which was hit by 顾宽晨. 76 minutes into the match, Malmo FF's goal looked a bit too open when 曾升榕 came free, but 郭昂银 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 曾升榕 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. 郭昂银 came out and tried to block the shot, but 曾升榕 slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 78th minute. 傅磊风 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 郭昂银 having to interfere. 曾升榕 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of 郭昂银 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 郭昂银 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 曾升榕, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes Red Bull Salzburg got a freekick which was hit by 洪辉树. 陈磊杰 in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of 郭昂银, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 89th minute, Red Bull Salzburg's 傅磊风 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind 郭昂银. 郭昂银 yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. 潘源西 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 顾宽晨, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 郭昂银 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曾升榕 in the 97th minute of the match. The Malmo FF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Red Bull Salzburg's performance. The match ended with a win for Red Bull Salzburg.
