An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Freire in the 43rd minute of play forced Leon Sport Club's goalkeeper Clóvis Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serginho Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. Clóvis Reis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Costa in the 89th minute of play forced Coritiba City's goalkeeper 冯雄翀 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Vander scored 3-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 冯雄翀, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Leon Sport Club fully deserved thier win.
