Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fernandinho Albuquerque kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Carlos Eduardo Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horácio Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Lamego was a little too slow when Luizão Peixoto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 16th minute, Jairo Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Marcelinho Abraão had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Carlos Eduardo Toledo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luizão Peixoto in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Lamego saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Dante in the 26th minute of play. Marcelinho Abraão came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SAO JOANENSE FC's Horácio Alcântara. But to his dismay, Horácio Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Fernandinho Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karaboudjan's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Lamego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jairo Dante made a kick off. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Oliveira came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizão Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Amadeu Lamego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Fernandinho Albuquerque left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karaboudjan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Aírton Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Lamego having to interfere. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Oliveira in the 74th minute of the match. Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Alcântara in the 75th minute of play. Rafael Godoi's late challenge caught a SAO JOANENSE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Godoi helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Godoi hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão got control of the ball when Luisinho Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
