Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Duronov in the 8th minute of play. Robin Olsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Duronov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th match minute, Haymakers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Apelkvist to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Haymakers FC's Robin Olsen got control of the ball when Maximino Duronov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute, Conrado Tellez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Deportivo Diagüita's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Patric Söderqvist was slow to take the kick. During this time Haymakers FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Patric Söderqvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Deportivo Diagüita's Felipo Manosalva did a great save. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Diagüita's Eber Marful got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Haymakers FC's Lukas Apelkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximino Duronov's late challenge caught a Haymakers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Duronov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Deportivo Diagüita getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Maximino Duronov hit a great ball. Felipo Manosalva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Söderqvist in the 37th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Kurt Westerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd match minute, Club Deportivo Diagüita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odón Concha to maneuver through the defense. Club Deportivo Diagüita's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximino Duronov in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Haymakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Duronov came free, but Robin Olsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Haymakers FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Patrik Sjöberg hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Diagüita's goalkeeper Felipo Manosalva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukas Apelkvist. Robin Olsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eber Marful's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Lukas Apelkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipo Manosalva having to interfere. Joel Tordesillas hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Haymakers FC's Lukas Apelkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Kurt Westerberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Felipo Manosalva. Kurt Westerberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. The Haymakers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Haymakers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
