MOC ⚽'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egídio Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Velasco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Coelho in the 18th minute of play forced ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s goalkeeper Egídio Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Bruno Henrique shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandez Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. E.C. Água Santa's Fernandez Gøl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save E.C. Água Santa from getting a goal against them. The supporters of ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ booed when E.C. Água Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Casemiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. MOC ⚽'s Egídio Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Coelho in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, E.C. Água Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Stenkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Frank da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Israel Frascuelo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 38th minute, Fábio Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42ndth minute of the game Alberto Spencer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but E.C. Água Santa's Fernandez Gøl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gualterio Gilabert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egídio Salgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Gualterio Gilabert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 59th minute. Fernandez Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Henrique in the 66th minute of play. Gualterio Gilabert's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Egídio Salgado firmly grabbed it by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, E.C. Água Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Secco came free, but Fernandez Gøl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gualterio Gilabert was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fernandez Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Spencer, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Gualterio Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Valdomiro Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C. Água Santa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ the free kick. Gualterio Gilabert in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Egídio Salgado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 83rd minute, E.C. Água Santa's Gualterio Gilabert dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Gualterio Gilabert might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Gilabert ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s Egídio Salgado got control of the ball when Gualterio Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Although ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ had been in control for most of the match, E.C. Água Santa still came away with the win.
