Reko Nybacka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilton Vale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. The throw-in from Walmir Duarte in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by TAQUARI FC's Ernani Souto. 8 minutes into the game, Wilton Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Reko Nybacka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Pombal in the 11th minute of play. In the 11th minute Walmir Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Pombal in the 18th minute of play. Walmir Duarte made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by TAQUARI FC's Frank Lampard. Rodolfo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Pombal in the 29th minute of the match. Wilton Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Walmir Duarte made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erik Sanches. In the 54th match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Lampard to maneuver through the defense. Catugi FC's Erik Sanches shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rodolfo Salgado but with some difficulty. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilton Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reko Nybacka having to make a save. Rodolfo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Carlos Alberto Soares sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Alberto Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Salgado having to interfere. The TAQUARI FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
