Evaristo Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Francisco Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabricio Rencio was slow to take the kick. During this time Cachiyuyo EAS's players had a chance to rest. Fabricio Rencio made a great header on Cachiyuyo EAS's corner, it was just that Racing Club's Francisco Raymond managed to reach the ball for a save. Antonio Ubarna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Evaristo Velasco made a huge save. Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 34th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Sven-Edvin Dalgren took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Evaristo Velasco to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabricio Rencio in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Raymond saved Racing Club from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Fabricio Rencio put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Raymond. After a rather tough play, Cachiyuyo EAS's Celedonio Xabel got a free kick in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Edvin Dalgren to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Raymond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Rencio. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Rencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Raymond was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 65th match minute, Cachiyuyo EAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Xabel to maneuver through the defense. Cachiyuyo EAS's Evaristo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 88th minute of play. Evaristo Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Cachiyuyo EAS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Club:s goal. When Grzegorz Krychowiak came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grzegorz Krychowiak couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Racing Club fully deserved thier win.
