Gustavo Bernebe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 8th minute, Toma Mateev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Bernebe was a little too slow when Sven-Edvin Dalgren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 2-0. 17 minutes into the match, Racing Club's Sven-Edvin Dalgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Bernebe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Goleš in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Roberto Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Amboy FC's zone, Antonio Ubarna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Bernebe came out of the goal and Antonio Ubarna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roberto Rodriguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Francisco Raymond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Amboy FC's Roberto Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Raymond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 41 minutes into the game, Lucian Triboi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amboy FC the free kick. The supporters of Amboy FC booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Triboi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Roberto Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Raymond came out of the goal and Roberto Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Racing Club were furious when Marco Nisio was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Racing Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Amboy FC a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roberto Rodriguez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Racing Club's Francisco Raymond. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Rodriguez to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Sven-Edvin Dalgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Racing Club's Francisco Raymond got control of the ball when Zacarias Goleš tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roberto Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amboy FC made a substitution. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amboy FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Bernebe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustavo Bernebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Bernebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Mantzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Bernebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
