The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Damian Dubiel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pannekoeken's Ton Rijkaard. Ton Rijkaard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 6 minutes, Arévalo Miñaca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. Clonmels Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arévalo Miñaca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ton Rijkaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arévalo Miñaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ton Rijkaard came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by F. C. Clonmels Devils's Janusz Wielowiejski. But to his dismay, Janusz Wielowiejski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 17th minute, Janusz Wielowiejski made a precise shot to the right of Ton Rijkaard. Pannekoeken's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ton Rijkaard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Janusz Wielowiejski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ton Rijkaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pannekoeken's Ton Rijkaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janusz Wielowiejski in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Damian Dubiel made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ton Rijkaard was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Silvestre Claus notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Pannekoeken's Ton Rijkaard. Ton Rijkaard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arévalo Miñaca scored 0-8 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ton Rijkaard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ton Rijkaard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Miñaca in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Silvestre Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ton Rijkaard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Ton Rijkaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Wielowiejski in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-9 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Janusz Wielowiejski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Elco van Asseldonk kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Gwidon Czeszyk received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ton Rijkaard came out and tried to block the shot, but Gwidon Czeszyk slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Janusz Wielowiejski notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Pannekoeken's Ton Rijkaard. Ton Rijkaard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the game, Damian Dubiel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ton Rijkaard. Damian Dubiel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. With an all-out effort, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Ton Rijkaard threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvestre Claus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ton Rijkaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Dubiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Silvestre Claus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ton Rijkaard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-15. 77 minutes into the match, Silvestre Claus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ton Rijkaard, 0-16. 81 minutes into the game, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Janusz Wielowiejski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ton Rijkaard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-17. Janusz Wielowiejski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ton Rijkaard made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Damian Dubiel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ton Rijkaard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-18. 89 minutes into the game, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Silvestre Claus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ton Rijkaard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-19. With his leg Ton Rijkaard managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when F. C. Clonmels Devils's Janusz Wielowiejski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Damian Dubiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pannekoeken's Ton Rijkaard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Pannekoeken from getting a goal against them.
