Falcão Cabral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvério Munhoz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Tarcisio Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Jardel went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tarcisio Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder dos Santos in the 19th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, E.C. Galera's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Jardel came free, but Tarcisio Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
