An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei de Salles in the 44th minute of play forced A A Arizona's goalkeeper Rodolfo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Sidnei de Salles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodolfo Siqueira. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. Flávio de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Siqueira having to interfere. Rodolfo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidnei de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With an all-out effort, Grêmio RK75's Rodolfo Siqueira threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Martín Braithwaite, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Rodolfo Siqueira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
