Danrley Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute of the match CE LAJEADENSE RS got a corner. LauerArmy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oséas Miranda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Caio Ramos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder dos Santos in the 21st minute of play. Paulo Jardel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lauro Linhares having to make a save. After 24 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by Raí Reis. Danrley Buffon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Oséas Miranda. Eliézer Ramos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Oséas Miranda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danrley Buffon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CE LAJEADENSE RS reached it. 37 minutes into the match, Glauco Paranaense notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of LauerArmy's Danrley Buffon. Danrley Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 42nd minute Guga Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danrley Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 45th minute of play. With 46 minutes on the clock, Marcinho das Neves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of LauerArmy booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glauco Paranaense made a kick off. Danrley Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Lauro Linhares came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by LauerArmy's Hélder dos Santos. But to his dismay, Hélder dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 60th minute of the match, Hélder dos Santos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lauro Linhares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Otávio Prado's late challenge caught a CE LAJEADENSE RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otávio Prado helped the player get up and apologised. Otávio Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Freire came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute of the game, Cléber de Souza landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 75 minutes, Cipriano Pombal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LauerArmy and the CE LAJEADENSE RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cipriano Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match Guilherme Loureiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danrley Buffon skillfully saved the ball. In the 79th minute, Glauco Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danrley Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 86th minute, Guilherme Loureiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 89th match minute, LauerArmy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, LauerArmy's Geovanni Zonta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. The CE LAJEADENSE RS players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
