Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deivid de Sousa to make the kick off. Virgílio Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Sampaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. GRÊMIO's Nestor Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Favoretto in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to GRÊMIO getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tyson Touro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, E.C. Galera's Silvério Munhoz got a free kick in the 59th minute. The supporters of E.C. Galera booed when GRÊMIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Galera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvério Munhoz scored 5-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Sampaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th play minute Fernando Leme came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tarcisio Botelho. 5-2. E.C. Galera's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
