Polatli's Cüneyd Oğurata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Musko in the 22nd minute of play. Herminio Aurre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Refik Nazif went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bonifacio Bikendi's late challenge caught a Polatli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Bikendi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Mussi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mussi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cüneyd Oğurata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Bikendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 75 minutes, Refik Nazif mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Polatli and the Mussi players grew even worse after the yellow card.
