When Zenon Santin fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YerBaTerOs's protests and gave Zenon Santin a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes YerBaTerOs got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Santin. Zenon Santin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. YerBaTerOs's Aguirre Almarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Txeru in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes YerBaTerOs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rene Venceslao who took care of the corner kick. Marin Reneros hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to YerBaTerOs getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Xencio Galaz hit a great ball. Paúl Mambliga kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Paúl Mambliga came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the YerBaTerOs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paúl Mambliga couldn't finish the play. The supporters of YerBaTerOs booed when C.A. Caminiaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Rey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zenon Santins short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Hemming Tjørnum to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hemming Tjørnum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Santin in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Carabalí Mareide made a precise shot to the right of Hemming Tjørnum. C.A. Caminiaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Zenon Santin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hemming Tjørnum was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Hemming Tjørnum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xencio Galaz in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, C.A. Caminiaga's Rodolfo Txeru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aguirre Almarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hemming Tjørnum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carabalí Mareide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A. Xencio Galaz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. YerBaTerOs had won after a very even match.
