Ton Rijkaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute, Joeri Das ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulão Penha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Fabiano Velloso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ton Rijkaard, 1-1. Iuri Pernambucano charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iuri Pernambucano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SE Palestra Itália getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Iuri Pernambucano hit a great ball. When Ron van den Akker came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pannekoeken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron van den Akker couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, SE Palestra Itália's Leonardo Motta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonardo Motta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SE Palestra Itália protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonardo Motta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Leonardo Motta hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Ron van den Akker sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SE Palestra Itália's Paulão Penha didn't even have to move. A collision led to SE Palestra Itália getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Acar Buğrahan hit a great ball. Martien Crans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Penha having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joeri Das in the 30th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Paulão Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Pannekoeken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harold Breugel to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Pannekoeken's Jan Kuiper got a free kick in the 35th minute. Fabiano Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ton Rijkaard having to interfere. Harold Breugel hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 51 played minutes Pannekoeken got a freekick which was hit by Floris Abbenbroek. Ton Rijkaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Velloso in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Pannekoeken's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Velloso came free, but Ton Rijkaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabiano Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ton Rijkaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano Velloso took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ton Rijkaard. Ton Rijkaard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Rodriguinho Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ton Rijkaard having to interfere. SE Palestra Itália's Paulão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Das in the 81st minute of play. When Henry Ommen came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Pannekoeken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Ommen couldn't finish the play. SE Palestra Itália's Paulão Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joeri Das in the 87th minute of play. SE Palestra Itália's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
