In the 4th minute, Gaudencio Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Erramun. Eusebio Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Generoso Malvin hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaudencio Eron during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Eron didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leandro Cordarin came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Deportivo Balvanera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Cordarin couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron got control of the ball when Marcos Madeo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Placido Cordarell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Balvanera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Gallardeta the free kick. In the 26th minute, Placido Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Hori's late challenge caught a Deportivo Balvanera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Hori helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Deportivo Balvanera booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Octavio Pes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Madeo in the 38th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Leandro Cordarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Romelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leandro Cordarin to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebio Lehoi got free with Paulo Romelio in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Paul to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 57th minute of play. Marcos Madeo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, La Gallardeta's Casimiro Erramun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abel Neron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Leandro Cordarin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Paulo Romelio made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Paulo Romelio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Paulo Romelio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Cordarin's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Cordarin in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Romelio saved La Gallardeta from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Cordarin in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Romelio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Romelio came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Balvanera's Jose Aritza. But to his dismay, Jose Aritza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 97th minute, Orlando Hori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
