Fulgencio Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Marcones in the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Melchor Birila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Melchor Birila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Intxixu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Đ∈p○rㄒﺃν○ ∈kдㄒ○m√ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Đ∈p○rㄒﺃν○ ∈kдㄒ○m√ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
