In the 5th minute Cecilio Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Santo Dominguez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uriel Raymon. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uriel Raymon should have stopped the shot. After 10 played minutes Isaac Marcones rounded Gutenberg's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. In the 18th minute Isaac Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Rojelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Peruanton kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Marcones in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Rojelio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Gutenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Velez Sarsfield were furious when Melchor Birila was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 28th minute, one of Velez Sarsfield:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Velez Sarsfield. Uriel Raymon had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Prudencio Romo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Romo in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Raymon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uriel Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Romo in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Dominguez in the 36th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Uriel Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Erramu during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Gutenberg got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Erramu. Bernardo Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaac Marcones in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Rojelio saved Gutenberg from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Rodolfo Flores got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 63 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Eusebio Procopio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Rojelio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gutenberg made a substitution. Braulio Etxekopar replaced Santo Dominguez. In the 80th minute, Prudencio Romo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Uriel Raymon. The goal made the score 2-4. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Romo in the 83rd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Aurelio Mattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Braulio Etxekopar took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Uriel Raymon to make any attempt to save it. When Oscar Erramu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 93rd minute, Braulio Etxekopar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Etxekopar in the 95th minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Uriel Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Velez Sarsfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gutenberg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
